For the third straight Friday we were stuck indoors due to the rain. But we managed to make the best of it. We continued to work on our shape recognition. The children had the opportunity to make shapes in shaving cream and even build shapes with toothpicks and marshmallows. We read It Looked Like Spilled Milk and the children tried to make their own cloud shape. We made a rabbit, butterfly and even a unicorn! Next came some fun shape formation. We built shapes out of marshmallows and tooth picks. Well let's be honest. The kids ate more marshmallows than they built with but we enjoyed the exercise. We also had a sensory experience where we played in shaving cream and had fun trying to create shapes in the foam. Comments are closed.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
