Our class party is Friday, beginning at 11:45 in the classroom. We will have a birthday celebration for Baby Jesus. Lunch is provided and please remember a wrapped Christmas book for our book exchange. See you then!
We had a fantastic morning. We played with a variety of baby dolls. We gave them baths, wrapped them in blankets, fed them, diapered them, and pushed them around in the carrage. We also had several birthday cakes and cupcakes in the kitchen area to bake for Baby Jesus' birthday. The children had a wonderful time singing to their babies and taking care of them. We even held our babies in our laps at story time and taught them how to be good listeners. We baked cakes for Baby Jesus, counted birthday candles and painted special birthday cakes. The most important part of our day was our visit to Manna House, the food pantry here at the church. The children gathered with the Frog Class and we read a story about Jesus' birth. We discussed how giving to those less fortunate than we are is what Jesus asks us to do every day. We then loaded all of our donations onto a rolling cart and walked to the food pantry. Once we were there the children were able to sort and stock the shelves. This was very exciting for them. Searching for a matching food item and then gently putting it in place. I was very proud of how well the boys and girls did and how well behaved they were. What a beautiful opportunity for children to experience at such a young age. Thank you so much for your generosity and support with today's efforts. The children enjoyed their visit and the food pantry was so pleased to see the children take an active role is helping their neighbors. What a blessing indeed!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
