The boys and girls enjoyed more bird fun today. They took the birds along with them to work on activities all morning. Today we learned about what different birds eat. We made our own bagel bird feeder to hang at home and painted with feathers.
It is so much fun to paint with nontraditional instruments. When learning about birds what could be more fitting then painting with feathers.
The children enjoyed a special visit from the dentist too!. We learned that we are born with no teeth, have 20 baby teeth and by the time we are an adult we will have 32 teeth! We reviewed how to brush our teeth to keep them healthy and what foods are good for our teeth and which might cause cavities.
We rounded out our morning by making bagel bird feeders. We are sure our bird and squirrel friends will be very happy with this special treat we can hang outside.
Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year.
