Today we had a great time exploring leaves. There were several different types picked from our garden this morning for us to examine and get a close up look at. Some were big and others were small. We noticed some had many little leaves clustered together while others were alone on the stem. It is amazing how God made them each as unique as he made us. Given the cooler temperatures we couldn't resist having art outside in the garden this morning. We used spray bottles filled with liquid water colors to make pictures of leaf shapes. They were so colorful! We also worked on scissor skills. We finished our day with a science experiment where we used pipettes full of colored water. We dropped the water onto coffee filters and enjoyed watching the colors absorb and bleed into each other. We probably went through 50+ coffee filters. It was pretty fascinating.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
