The language used at the table as the boys dug into their gelatin blocks was exciting to listen to as well. One boy noticed that he didn't have to only poke his dropper into the top of the block but the side as well. This revelation was shared with the group and soon others were trying it out for themselves.
To make your own you will need 10 cups of water, 16 packets of plain gelatin (found next to the flavored Jello in the grocery store), and several molds. Simply fill a large pot with the water and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Stir and heat until all of the gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat and pour into molds. I used small bowls but think of how much fun it would be to fill a bunt pan or other fun shaped containers. Place in the refrigerator until set. It may also be a good idea to spray your mold with Pam. I forgot this step but was able to free the gelatin from the mold with a toothpick around the edge of the bowl without destroying the integrity of the gelatin block.
