I had grand plans for today to continue our worm study but to my dismay when I arrived at school this morning I found our worms had all died. Needless to say I was disappointed and did not look forward to telling the boys that the worms I promised they could take home today were no longer. Our worms were either overly manhandled Wednesday or something in the soil they were in did not agree with them. When the boys asked where the worms were I didn't have the heart to tell them they died. One boy suggested they "slithered away" when no one was looking, so we went with that. As disappointed as I am I am pretty sure most of you are glad you didn't have to take a worm home this afternoon. We did however have a great day and enjoyed the beautiful outdoors. We even decided at the last minute to have a picnic lunch.

I asked Ty as soon as he got home from school where his worm was and he told me it slithered away.... I just read the blog and smiled. You are such a great teacher!!!! Ty was sooo blessed to have you as his teacher.

It has been an amazing year. I truly believe I have learned more from the boys than I have taught them. I am glad they all took the disappointment as well as they did. Next year I will know better! Comments are closed.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
