The last day is always bittersweet for me. I am excited about the summer and time with the family but I am also going to miss these sweet faces each week. We have all grown so much this year. We have learned to identify some letters. Some of us get super excited every time we spot our first initial, or those of our classmates, in environmental print. We can count and sort, make simple patterns, and arrange objects in size order. We have come leaps and bounds with our fine motor skills, cutting, lacing, and holding a pencil or paintbrush. We have learned to be independent with simple tasks such as using the bathroom, washing our hands, opening our lunch, and cleaning up after ourselves. We have learned to play with others, imagine, role play, and grew real friendships. I would say that is a successful year. Our family picnic was a lot of fun as well. Thank you all for coming and making this day so special for your child. The children enjoyed this family time very much. Thank you for the blessing of another year of teaching. Enjoy a relaxing summer and lots of family time. These years go by so quickly. Step back and enjoy them to the fullest! God Bless you all.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
