I set up several ramps around the room and handed the boys a box of matchbox cars and let them explore. Which ramps allowed the car to go the furthest? The fastest? The slowest? Did the type of car matter?
They had a great time exploring!
We continued our unit on transportation today. The boys continued to enjoy the trains but we were able to explore a few other activities today as well. The sensory tub was a big hit. We were so busy with the trains on Wednesday we never even opened it up. The boys had the opportunity to work together on a transportation mural this morning. Most passed it by but it grabbed the attention of one of the boys who chose to color every vehicle on the paper. The boys have also been enjoying the variety of books out this week. It was sweet to catch a few sharing at books and getting more and more excited with each turn of the page. And then we were off to the races! I set up several ramps around the room and handed the boys a box of matchbox cars and let them explore. Which ramps allowed the car to go the furthest? The fastest? The slowest? Did the type of car matter? They had a great time exploring! The boys and I are looking forward to next week. We will have a visit from a police officer and a puppet show on Wednesday as well as our Wheels Day Picnic and Ride Along. We'll be meeting on Friday, at 11:45 out side the sanctuary under the portico to lunch together and ride bikes or what ever ride along toy you wish to bring. Should be a lot of fun!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
