We began our morning with a few math and fine motor activities. We counted snowflakes, built mini ice forts, sorted fish by color and then fed them to our penguin with chop sticks.
Who says it doesn't snow in Texas? Not the boys in the Awesome Owl class. Even thought it was a beautiful day in the mid 60's we had a fun filled snow day! We began our morning with a few math and fine motor activities. We counted snowflakes, built mini ice forts, sorted fish by color and then fed them to our penguin with chop sticks. After snack we decided to make our own snow. I found this great Insta-snow at Lakeshore and have been curious to see how the boys would enjoy it. We decided that since it was such a mild morning we would move our sensory tub out side and explore our homemade snow. All we did was add water and in a matter of minutes we had enough snow for all to enjoy. During art today we used and unexpected painting tool, kitchen scrubbies. We dipped them in white paint and painted our own snowstorms. What fun! Our day finished off with another science/sensory experiment. The boys made GAK.

Fun! S has been having a hard time understanding that we don't really get snow in TX. Next best thing!

Never knew I could leave a comment! :) You are awesome! Seth and I appreciate the time you put into planning for the kiddos! Emily was really excited that you gave GAK to her! :) She said "Ms. Kristin is so nice!" Comments are closed.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
