What a fun filled day! Our little owls did a great job given such a crazy schedule. Our day began with the annual Fiesta Shoebox Float Parade. Once that was finished we began a rotation through the Fiesta rooms with a change happening every 20 minutes. We had to be on our toes all day! In our first room we made brightly colored Fiesta Crowns! Our second stop of the day was making Cascarones. The best part of this room was cracking them on a friends head! On to music and dancing. We partook in the Chicken Dance, Mexican Hat Dance, and ribbon twirling to De Colores. Just about the time we were all getting a little hungry we found ourselves in the Cake Walk room. The game was not nearly as entertaining as decorating and eating our very own cupcake! After that sugar infusion we headed outside for some piñata fun. We were treated to a wonderful Fiesta lunch complete with bean and cheese tacos, chips and cheese, Mexican rice, and fried tortillas tossed in sugar and cinnamon. Our day concluded with some homemade maracas. Thank you to all the parents that pitched in to make today's festivities such a success for the children. Enjoy the Fiesta Holiday on Friday and I look forward to see you all next week as we dive into the world of insects.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
