We were a class full of boys today and we had a wonderful time building a zoo during our center time. The boys were engaged in creative play, cooperative building and story telling. It was fun to sit along the sidelines and listen as the story developed.

Scarves were added to make tents for the various animals.
"This will help the animals not be so hot in the sun."
When we later went out to the playground, we were delighted and intrigued by a rather large bug that many of the children spent time watching, following and poking. There were shouts of joy and laughter coming from all of the owls as they investigated their new bug friend.
