When we later went out to the playground, we were delighted and intrigued by a rather large bug that many of the children spent time watching, following and poking. There were shouts of joy and laughter coming from all of the owls as they investigated their new bug friend.
We were a class full of boys today and we had a wonderful time building a zoo during our center time. The boys were engaged in creative play, cooperative building and story telling. It was fun to sit along the sidelines and listen as the story developed. " This is the welcome tower." "I found a block that we can use for the door!" Gathering all the like animals. Working together to build a pen for the animals. Scarves were added to make tents for the various animals. "This will help the animals not be so hot in the sun." When we later went out to the playground, we were delighted and intrigued by a rather large bug that many of the children spent time watching, following and poking. There were shouts of joy and laughter coming from all of the owls as they investigated their new bug friend. A day full of discovery!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
