Today we were blessed with a fantastic visit from the animals of Fiesta Farms. The children truly enjoyed getting an up close and personal look at these special creatures. Before heading out to meet our guests we read a version of the time honored classic, Old MacDonald. Then we played a Listening game where we heard several farm animal sounds and had to identify their pictures on a game board. After discussing the different types of animals you might find on a farm we tried to predict which animals might be paying us a visit today. We guessed some correctly and were quite surprised by some of the other animals that visited. And if that wasn't enough we were very busy in the classroom learning even more! The boys are becoming more and more interested in letters and numbers and today we worked on counting to ten and tracing our initials and names for the first time. Many even wanted to try tracing their friends initials.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
