Today we continued our role play as vets, painted and enjoyed some playdough play. Our art lesson took a sharp turn in a different direction today. We were supposed to be stamping with dog bones. Shortly after we began one friend got upset that there was paint on her hand. I must have made a comment about how it was fine and we would wash our hands when we were done or that a little paint never hurt anyone. In the next moment all eight children dove right into the paint with their hands and it quickly become a finger painting project. They were all so tickled with themselves and astonishingly enough the paint remained on their hands and paper and not a speck on their clothes. Although it was not what I had planned, I would still say it was a success. I am looking forward to next week when we learn all about transportation. We also have a visit from the Police Department and will close out our week with Wheels Day. This is a fun opportunity for the children to picnic, ride bikes together and get some fresh air. Enjoy your family time this weekend!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
