I hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break. It was nice to be back together this morning. We began right away with pictures. The girls did a great job and I can't wait to see the proofs. Once we made it to the room the girls were excited to find all new toys and games to explore. This week we are studying backyard birds. We enjoyed playing some color sorting and matching games as well as one where the girls could feed a baby bird worms. For snack we had a lot of fun eating "bird seed" trail mix. It was a little damp outside but we didn't let that stop us from having some fun. During our art time we each painted a bird house for our fine feathered friends. Tootsie also brought us a few window mounted bird feeders and some seed to hang on our windows. Hopefully the birds find it soon so we can have a close up view of them eating. We had some extra time before music and the girls enjoyed more center time, playing school, taking care of the baby dolls, and one friend even tried on the baby doll's pants herself! Every day is an adventure in the Young 3's! After a week apart the girls were very happy to be back together. Looking forward to Friday. We will be learning about one of my favorite backyard birds, the Hummingbird. Hopefully our new feeders will bring other birds to our window for viewing as well. See you then!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
