The class was excited to spend some time learning about farm life. We explored new centers, played animal sound bingo and painted a barn. The fun continued out on the playground. Back inside, Tootsie brought us some egg shakers and a fun song to use them with. The instrumental music had several stops and starts. Every time the music would play we would shake our eggs. When the music stopped we had to freeze. It was a great listening activity and the girls really enjoyed it. After a story, we headed to the big table to work on some art. The girls had an opportunity to paint a big red barn. We will put the finishing touches on it Friday once the red paint is dry. We also had some time to squeeze in another listening activity with some Animal Sound Bingo. Before lunch we used some farm animal puppets to sing, "Old MacDonald". The girls we all too eager to help out. While the girls were enjoying their lunch we played one last farm animal game. I had a tray of farm animals and a pack of riddles. I read each riddle and the girls had to figure out which animal I was looking for. They did a great job! Can you believe we are already in March? Friday is the first Friday of the month so we will be wearing our school t-shirts. Hope everyone can join us for some more fun down on the farm.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
