We had the best Rodeo Day! Although our schedule was off we loved every minute of our western themed day. We finished with car line and had snack right away. Then it was off to the Rodeo! The moms who helped out were awesome. The children sat around the camp fire, branded farm animals, lassoed steer, milked cows, rode stick ponies and bucking broncos and sat for a photo op. If that wasn't exciting enough one of our friends in the Dragonfly class is raising a calf at home. His family generously brought "Ginger" the calf in to share today. She was gentle and so soft. The boys and girls loved her. What a special treat! By the time we made it back inside and washed our hands it was time to head up to Motor Skills. Ms. Amy said the children loved galloping round and round. Then we enjoyed some Chapel time before heading back to the room. At this point everyone just wanted to play. So we opened up centers and explored. We had a great time on the playground running around and working up an appetite for our Cowboy Lunch. We finished the day with a very special Cowboy Lunch. We enjoyed bacon, biscuits, grapes, Cheetos, beans, little Smokies, Oreos, and "Cowboy Coffee", aka chocolate milk. Delicious! A very special shout out to the many moms who working in the kitchen to provide such a special conclusion to our day. Next week we will continue our western theme with life on the farm. Wednesday we will be treated to a special visit from a trick roper. That is one of those presentations we look forward to all year. Enjoy your weekend. See you all next week!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
