Enjoy your weekend. See you next Wednesday.
The girls had a lot of fun today continuing to explore our bird themed centers. We patiently watched and waited but the birds outside have not yet discovered our window feeders. Hopefully by next week we should see some action. We enjoyed another creative snack today. "Bird's Nest" with a Mama Bird fruit cup on top. The girls LOVED it! We read a few books about hummingbirds. One titled, "Little Green" is about a boy who watches a hummingbird fly around his garden and paints all the different movements the hummingbird makes. So we broke out the paint sticks (such vibrant colors) and listened to some music that reminded us of the hummingbirds behaviors and painted. The final products were just beautiful! Some of the girls even painted two papers today. Once we cleaned up we decided to do a science experiment with a fun bird twist. We used Easter Eggs that looked like little chicks (found at the Dollar Tree) and some Alka-Seltzer tablets and a little water to create a chemical reaction that would blow the heads off the chicks. It was so much fun! So much in fact that I sent the experiment home for you to try as a family this weekend. Hope you enjoy it as well. It was another great week together. I am looking forward to more adventures next week as we learn all about earthworms. And yes, we will have live earthworms in class to explore and observe. I can't wait to see everyone's reactions.
Enjoy your weekend. See you next Wednesday. Comments are closed.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
