During art today we painted with feathers.
I hope everyone survived the crazy snow storms last week without too much trouble. It was a once in a lifetime event for sure! We are back at it this week with pet week. The children loved playing vet today. These pets were very well taken care of. There were shots given, heartbeats listened to, and temperatures taken. There may be a few vets in the making with this group. During art today we painted with feathers. Tootsie brought us her favorite pet book, Cookie's Week. She also shared some cat sunglasses for us to try. There were several fine motor activities to participate in as well as a few letter recognition games. The children are doing really well matching up letter tiles to the words they find in print. These little owls are developing wonderful imaginations. I really wish you could be in the room to see how well they play with each other and learn from one another. Friday we will continue talking about pets. If you have a photo of a family pet you would like to share please feel free to bring it along. We will be creating our own pet rocks. I can't wait to hear what every one names their creation.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
