This week is off to a great start! We are learning all about pumpkins. We enjoyed checking out new pumpkin themed centers and games as well as painting our own pumpkin later in the morning. One of our favorite activities today was hammering golf tees into a real pumpkin! During Music Class the children continued to work on fast and slow, loud and soft. They even got to dance with scarves! After Music, the fire department came for a visit. We learned when to call 911 and about what fire fighters do to help us in an emergency. This year the fire fighters let us spray water from the big hose, try on a fire hat (if we wanted to), and climb through the cab of the engine. It was so exciting! When we returned to our room it was time to paint our own pumpkins! We were grateful the rain held off so that we could enjoy the playground. Friday will be another exciting day with our Fall Costume Parade at 9am around the upper level. You can drop off as usual, park your car and walk in. Chairs will be set up for parents to view the parade. The children are welcome to dress in a fun costume (nothing scary please). They are also welcome to wear the costume all day as long as they can potty without any issue and if you don't mind the possibility of it getting dirty with our activities. If you choose to change your child into play clothes, you can come to our room briefly after the parade to help with that effort. Our first party will begin around 11:50. Lunch will be provided so you will only need to pack a water bottle. Pick up will be at our regular time. Only the parents hosting need attend. Please message me with any questions. I'm looking forward to seeing all the cute costumes Friday morning.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
