We had fun exploring new turkey themed centers this morning. We threaded beads on to feathers, cut turkeys, and sorted stickers onto the correct colored turkey feather. In music class the children used rhythm sticks and listened to the sounds different bugs make. Over the weekend I had ordered some pictures to be printed. I hung them all over our bulletin board wall to illustrate the types of "work" we do in the classroom. At one point while playing one of the boys noticed the new pictures. In no time the children were all drawn to the wall and excited to see if they could spot themselves among the photos. Tootsie brought us a book during story time about sharing. We also received some stickers that we used to color sort and decorate our turkey hanging on the wall. In preparing for our feast on Friday, we made turkey headbands to go along with our turkey t-shirts. We also used turkey stickers to dress up our names in print. We finished this lovely morning with some fresh air. The boys had a blast climbing all over the play structures. We are eagerly anticipating our Thanksgiving Feast this Friday. We will meet in the West Auditorium at noon. The children will wear their turkey t-shirts and the headbands we made today. We will dine together on a wonderful feast of traditional Thanksgiving fare. All parents are welcome to join us! Bring a camera. We are going to be some pretty cute turkeys!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
