Our lunch conversations revolve around how loud our food crunches or comparing who has a similar lunch. When we discover that at least two of us have strawberries we say, "We have a connection." That phrase comes up often. The girls are able to take notice of who had hats on the playground, who wore read dresses, who is part of extended day. They are becoming aware of those around them and ways in which they are similar.
It was so nice to have a full class today! It has been a rough few weeks with colds and allergies. We enjoyed new centers, a chilly morning on the playground, and several art projects. We bundled up and headed out to play. During art we continued preparations for the Feast on Friday by making our turkey headbands. They will compliment out t-shirts. I must say Owls make cute Turkeys. We also spent time on a leaf rubbing ornament. Our pincer grasps are developing nicely. We played a fun sticker color sorting game before lunch. The stickers were Tuti-Fruity scratch and sniff. I know it is only November but the growth I can already see in this class has been amazing! Today everyone opened their own lunches with no help from me. I offered to help a few and was told, "No, I can do it!" I just love to see the independence start to blossom as we begin to reach developmental milestones. All parents are invited to the feast which will take place at 11am in the West Auditorium. During the morning our class will be popping popcorn to contribute to the celebration. Don't forget your cameras. It is sure to be a lot of fun.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
