We had a wonderful time together this morning. Everyone had great stories about their spring break. We dove right into learning about our backyard feathered friends. There were several new centers to explore (our favorite being feed the worms to the baby bird). We also spent some time building many different nests. During circle time we learned about some of the birds that live in Texas and others that live in different parts of the world. Our stuffed birds are very special. When you squeeze them you can hear their call. We listened to how each bird's song is unique. Once we explored the birds we headed to the table to paint bird houses for our fine feathered friends. There are several song birds that frequent our playground/garden area, so we headed outside to see if we could spot any. Friday we will be hanging some bird feeders outside our window in hopes of attracting some birds to watch up close. Looking forward to seeing everyone Friday!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
