We were busy today! We enjoyed Chapel time with Ms. Kunkle, went on a color hunt in the classroom, and mixed up some secondary colors. Every Friday we gather with two other classes and Mrs. Kunkle in the common area to have some praise and worship time together. We sing and dance to a few songs, review our memory verse, and listen to a Bible story. The children are doing really well with this and are catching on to the songs of the month. Check out some of their dance moves. Once Chapel time was over we gathered for snack time and to celebrate another big birthday! Tootsie brought us beautiful color scarves to sing with during circle time. What a special treat. We also read a color book and one at a time searched the room for a color to match the color on the page. Everyone has a really good handle on their colors and found some great examples in our room. I think one of our favorite activities today was color mixing. We each got a cup and poured our own water. It is very exciting to be able to do big kid things all by ourselves! Each child was able to choose two different colored ice cubes. They were placed in the cup of water to melt into a new color. We learned that yellow and blue make green, red and blue make purple, and yellow and red make orange. We also enjoyed painting with paint sticks. So many vibrant colors! Next week we will be learning all about shapes! Enjoy your weekend!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
