Our girls enjoyed all things dinosaur related this morning. We played with dinosaur bones in the sensory tub, colored with dinosaur shaped crayons, and sorted letters among other new centers. The library and dramatic play sandwich shop also grabbed everyone's attention. This spring weather has been delightful. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor time. We even spotted a dinosaur hiding in a tree on our way in from the playground. Back inside we listened to several dinosaur books and even heard a fun little counting poem with 5 dinosaur puppets. We decided to make some of our own. Each child watercolored her own set of 3 dinosaur puppets. As we waited for them to dry some of us also tried some paint with water pages. We even took a little time to make a get well poster for one of our classmate's siblings. Each student added her own personal touch. We have a lot more dino fun planned for Friday. We will be participating in an experiment to extract "dinosaur fossils" from "rock". It is sure to be a crowd pleaser. It is also the first Friday of the month so if you remember, wear your school t-shirts. See you then!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
