Sorry there are no pictures. It was an instant hit with the class and we read it several times today. They just couldn't get enough of it!
The children were very excited to dive right into their play today. Our room was transformed into an ice cream lovers dream! As you can see in the pictures below there was no shortage of ice cream learning throughout our room. We wasted no time washing our hands so we could get straight to exploring. During our creative time we worked on making some beautiful "stained glass". We used a lot of glue and enjoyed putting all the glass pieces into place. They will be stunning once the glue dries. The boys and girls may come home singing a little song about doggie ice cream. We read the wonderful book, Groovy Joe Ice Cream and Dinosaurs. If you have not read this book yet here is a link to the audio. https://kids.scholastic.com/content/dam/scholastic/kids/Audio/Groovy-Joe/Groovy%20Joe%20Ice%20Cream%20and%20Dinosaurs%20Story.mp3 YouTube has several versions but this is the one read by the author. Sorry there are no pictures. It was an instant hit with the class and we read it several times today. They just couldn't get enough of it! After a rainy morning stuck inside, we needed some fresh air. I had found these adorable bubbles, shaped like popsicles, at the Dollar Tree last summer. So we put on our coats and headed up to the portico area to blow some bubbles. So much fun! Everyone got to take their bubbles home with them in their totes today. The remainder of our day was spent playing and enjoying all the ice cream offerings. We are really excited to make our own homemade ice cream on Friday! Can't wait to taste it! Comments are closed.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
