Banana, celery
Strawberry, banana, broccoli
Orange and yogurt
Kiwi, orange, blueberry
Everyone enjoyed making their own unique blend.
We had a full morning. Dramatic play was a smoothie shop, we scooped "snowballs" in the sensory tub and had a blast painting ice during art. The smoothie shop was a hit today. I only wish I had more than one blender in my possession. Every one wanted a turn to mix up a delicious smoothie. You would have loved some of the combinations I saw being mixed... Banana, celery Strawberry, banana, broccoli Orange and yogurt Kiwi, orange, blueberry Everyone enjoyed making their own unique blend. Every one thought it would be fun to paint on ice so that is exactly what we did. Each child got a sheet of ice to work with. They enjoyed painting the ice with watercolors and touching the cold surface. One friend even said, "Painting on ice is cool!" and laughed at his own witty joke. We continued working on vertical surfaces today. The challenge this time was connect the dots. I had set up two poster boards with a bunch of stickers. The children had to carefully connect the dots with a straight line. We talked about having control and trying not to scribble on the entire poster. This was a great challenge and took a lot of concentration. We used washable markers so any marks on the wall were an easy clean up. There were also several areas of choice today. We worked on fine motor skills, color sorting, counting, and writing. Stay warm out there! See you all on Friday!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
