Our little farm girls enjoyed the morning. They were building towers at the light table, counting sheep, washing pigs, and putting puzzles together. We had fun running off some energy on the playground. At one point the girls decided to have a contest to see who could slide down the twisty slide with the most style and flare! It was like watching an Olympic event. They were cracking themselves up and cheering each other on. Back inside we enjoyed a new month of Chapel songs and then finished up our barns from Wednesday. We also spent time working on our scissor skills. Everyone snipped some farm animal strips. Baggies full of their efforts went home in totes today. Some even asked for a few strips to take home to work on with you. For today's art project we painted pigs in the mud. The girls thought it was so funny that our painting tool today would be a toothbrush. Everyone loved covering their pigs in the mud. Our discussion at lunch today was all about next week and how much everyone is looking forward to Princess Week! I think we may have several Elsa's in attendance. Your daughter is welcome to wear a princess dress or costume to school if they would like. We will be painting castles, designing princess shoes and there may even be a hair salon set up in dramatic play! I think the girls are going to LOVE it!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
