Enjoy your weekend!
We enjoyed our time together this morning playing with friends and learning about some of the animals you can find in the ocean. We enjoyed another fun themed snack this morning, kettle corn, ocean blue M&M's and graham cracker Goldfish. Another hit with the children! While we ate we listed to "A House for Hermit Crab". Once we finished, we continued with our scissor skills by cutting out and assembling a crab. This was done 100% by the children. Our scissor skills have come such a long way this year. I am so proud of everyone's hard work. After an outdoor session of Motor Skills we returned to the air condition and worked on some lacing skills. The boys and girls had the option to make a necklace or bracelet with ocean colored beads and beads shaped like dolphins, whales, or sea turtles. Several chose to sit and make one for a sibling or parent as well. Next week, we are set to dive into the world of Super Heroes. Some of the girls may be more interested in dressing up as princesses and that is totally fine. I don't mind if the children wear costumes Wed. and Friday as long as they can potty without issue. A change of clothes would be wise in case we get too hot. On Friday we will rotate into the Super Hero room while the older students are graduating. Our dramatic play corner will be transformed into a pizza parlor in honor of the pizza loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I'm sure everyone will have a blast!
Enjoy your weekend! Comments are closed.

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
