Cutest detectives EVER!
The Owls had a wonderful morning together. Everyone understands the routine and is quick to wash hands as they enter the room so that they can go off and play. We played a little before Chapel this morning. We have learned the two worship and praise songs we are singing in Chapel this month and have a great time dancing to them. Our songs are, "Our God is a Great Big God" and "Jump Into the Light". All morning long I could hear someone singing as they played. Makes my heart smile. At one point, a few of the other classes gathered in the common space to have their Chapel time. Our door was open and the minute the music started we all began dancing and singing too. A few of the children wanted to participate in Chapel all over again and pulled chairs to the door so they could see over and dance with the other children! During circle time Tootsie brought us a bag full of magnifying glasses. She told us that we were going to go on a shape hunt and had to find shapes hidden around the lower mall area. We gathered up our magnifying glasses and headed out of the room to hunt down some shapes. There were circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, diamonds, and ovals hidden everywhere. We were careful not to miss even one! Look at how many shapes we found! Cutest detectives EVER! There was also a nice fall scene set up at the other end of the room so we stopped by for a photo! Back in the room we stamped some circles with paint. We also tried to trace a shape of our choice with a rainbow crayon and decorate it with stickers. We enjoyed some play dough time before hitting the playground. As you can see we sang "Happy Birthday" many times. I wonder if some of your ears were burning...we sang to many Mommy's and Daddy's too. Another great week in the books. Hard to believe that we will be welcoming October by the end of next week! Looking ahead we will be studying Apples. We will dissect an apple to see what's inside as well as take a taste test of several varieties. Have a wonderful weekend, rest up, and stay healthy!

Why Blog? Here you will find little snippets of our days together. When my children were in preschool and would come home I would always ask, "So, what did you do today?". All they ever said was, "Played." That didn't tell me much. I hope this blog will be a place to share what we have done and help you ask more directed questions of your child. You will see first hand just what we do after you kiss your little one goodbye in the morning. It will also be a great place to visit and see just how much your child has grown and learned throughout the year. Archives
